Specialized Packaging Group (SPG) has announced the opening of a new 4,645m² manufacturing facility in Guadalajara, Mexico, strategically designed to serve as a regional hub for high-complexity protective packaging. This expansion specifically targets the burgeoning AI and data center sectors, providing specialized crate solutions for the secure transport of sensitive, high-value technology hardware. By positioning itself within Guadalajara’s rapidly growing industrial corridor, SPG aims to enhance its service speed and capacity across North America while capitalizing on the region’s increasing demand for advanced logistics and light manufacturing.
A central component of the new operation is SPG’s commitment to sustainability through a closed-loop recycling model. Under this program, materials used in the shipping process are recovered and reintegrated into production, minimizing environmental impact for the data center supply chain. This investment follows SPG’s 2025 acquisition of ArkPack de Mexico and reflects a broader growth strategy backed by Altamont Capital Partners. As Guadalajara continues to attract major players like Amazon and Foxconn, SPG’s new facility reinforces its role as a key provider of innovative, circular packaging solutions in the global technology infrastructure market.
